For the last year of 2007 no special changes on the market for the rent of the elite apartments in Moscow occurred. Market was stabilized; an increase in the prices for the apartments of high quality surprised nobody.

Buyers investigate apartments, salesmen return advances, those people who desire to purchase clearly outnumber those, who are desiring to sell. End of January - the beginning of February - the time of forecasts on the real estate market: extended new-year holidays come to an end, market wakes up from the holiday hibernation, and experts sum up the sums of the previous year. In the opinion of the specialists, questioned by RIA   news, 2008 will not bring sensations in the sphere of habitable real estate in Moscow , and medium height in the prices will not exceed 2% per month.

In December and January the real estate market in the capital, as usual,   did not manifest special activity. A number of properties offered for sale decreased, and prices for them increased: in December an increase in the prices comprised, according to the different estimations, 2-3%, in January - of about 1% with the drop in the exchange value of dollar continued to the middle of month.

According to the chief of the expert administration of the President RF Arkady Dvorkovich, the new composition of the State Duma can already pass the law this spring session “about the tax for real estate”, and regions will begin to carry it out into the life beginning of 2009.

The fact, that in the capital already simply there is no place for more buildings, is already recognized even at the government level. Experts assert that in Moscow there are too many “excess” buildings.
